Numen

NUMEN denotes the indwelling spiritual presence that inhabits natural forms and sacred spaces—an ineffable power that evokes reverence and awe. Unlike personified deities, the numen exists as a mysterious force felt rather than seen, emanating from objects, landscapes, and bodies that become charged with transcendent significance. In this series, I explore these intersections through abstract nudes, creating ambiguity in meaning and connoting a cultural or religious expression, but leaving the ultimate interpretation to the viewer.
